Data processing connected to the services provided through this website take place at the seat of the appointed service managers (Key Congressi Srl for Abstracts managing and the Local Organizing Committee for newsletter managing) and may be handled by any external collaborators for the maintenance of the website itself.

The personal data provided by users who make use of the services rendered by the website –newsletter, abstracts submission – are used for the sole purpose of performing the service or provision requested, and are communicated to third parties only if this is necessary for this purpose (e.g. evaluation of abstract submissions).

The legal basis of the processing described above is the consent of the interested party.

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are canceled immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

For the purpose of a statistical analysis of users’ browsing experiences, google analytics scripts are used, through which anonymous usage information is sent to google.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

For Abstracts managing, personal and contact data of the authors are required.

Data shall be processed electronically and manually by the appointed Data Processor for the purpose of performing the abstract submission, evaluation, acceptance/rejecting and publication procedure, and may be communicated to third parties if this is necessary for this purpose (Abstracts evaluation committee members, Local Organizing Committee)

Data shall be disclosed by the publication on the website of the Abstracts Book.

For Newlsetter managing, personal and contact data are required.

Data shall be processed electronically and manually for the purpose of performing the Communication process and shall not be disclosed or communicated to other parties than the appointed Data Processors.

The period for which the personal data will be stored is defined by the request of cancellation of information voluntarily provided by the user, and is limited to until the end of the next event (XXIV International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis).

As regards to the technical data managed by the site, such as cookies, the period is defined by the technical characteristics of the cookies defined in the paragraph below.
